Type a normal search and choose an engine, or type a web address such as example.com to open it directly. Press / anywhere on the page to jump to the search box.
Browse engines by category, set a default engine, hide engines you do not use, drag them into your preferred order, or tap the star to pin favorites toward the front.
Jump directly to an engine from the search box. Try !yt cats, !wiki moon, !reddit minecraft, !amazon headphones, !github project, or !help.
Click or focus the search box to see recent searches. Re-run one with a click or clear the history whenever you want.
Use the 📊 Quick Ticker button to control your live feeds. Turn your selected tickers on or off together, choose presets, change speed and density, collapse the rows, or open the full Ticker Library.
Customize shortcuts, engine visibility, ticker colors and order, themes, accent colors, folder appearance, and other display preferences. Your choices are saved in this browser.
Presets include Minimal, News, Weather, Sports, and Everything. The master switch temporarily hides all selected tickers and restores the same selection later. Clear Selections actually deselects them.
Hover over a ticker to pause its movement temporarily. Click the ticker's colored badge to pause or resume that individual row. Reduced Motion can also stop automatic scrolling.
The Ticker Library can show whether a feed is Live, Stale, Waiting, or having an Issue, plus how long ago it last updated. When possible, TomWillHelp keeps the last successful ticker data if a source temporarily fails.
Drag ticker cards in the Ticker Library to put them in the order you want. Choose Compact, Standard, or Comfortable ticker density.
Optional Mobile Rotate mode reduces ticker clutter on smaller screens by showing enabled ticker rows one at a time instead of stacking every row.
/ focuses Search, Ctrl+K opens Quick Command, Ctrl+, opens Settings, and Alt+T opens Quick Ticker Controls.
Press Ctrl+K to search dashboard actions. Open Settings, control tickers, select presets, choose search engines, export settings, and more from one searchable panel.
Pin frequently used engines with the star. Advanced Settings also lets you add your own compatible search engine using a URL template containing {query}.
Create your own shortcut tabs for websites you visit often, choose their colors, and arrange them in the order that works best for you.
Use Export Settings to save your TomWillHelp preferences to a JSON file. Import Settings restores a saved setup. You can also reset only Tickers, Engines, Shortcuts, or Appearance.
Google, Bing, Brave, Yahoo, Dogpile: Good starting points for broad web searches, websites, products, people, images, and general information.
DuckDuckGo, StartPage, Swisscows: Useful when you prefer search services designed around stronger privacy choices. Each provider has its own policies and features.
Ecosia, GiveWater, Lilo: Search services with environmental or charitable missions. Visit each provider for current details about how its programs work.
Reddit, Hacker News: Helpful for discussions, personal experiences, community opinions, technology conversations, and discovering what people are talking about.
YouTube, TikTok, Twitch, Dailymotion, X, Instagram: Use these when looking for videos, creators, streams, social posts, or trending content.
Wikipedia, Britannica, Encyclopedia.com, Google Scholar, Internet Archive, WolframAlpha: Useful for reference material, academic research, archived material, calculations, and deeper learning.
Dictionary.com, Thesaurus.com, Merriam-Webster: Quickly look up definitions, spelling, synonyms, word usage, and related language information.
GitHub: Search repositories, projects, code, releases, developers, and open-source software.
Amazon, eBay: Jump directly to product searches and marketplace listings.
Dedicated dashboard categories provide quick links to supported pizza chains and food-delivery services when you want to go straight to ordering.
Updates, News, Today, Tech, Gaming, Entertainment provide site announcements, headlines, historical events, technology, gaming, and entertainment information.
Crypto and Scores provide cryptocurrency pricing and sports scoreboard information.
Weather, Alerts, Earth, Sun & Moon cover weather conditions, official weather alerts, significant earthquakes, sunrise/sunset, and related sun/moon information.
Airports checks national airport-status information. If the live feed cannot be read by the browser, TomWillHelp provides a link to the live National Airspace System status instead.
Space and Space Weather show upcoming launch information and space-weather conditions or alerts.
World Clock shows current times for several major cities around the world directly from your browser.
!commands whenever another engine is better for a particular search.
Choose the default search engine and adjust the dashboard's general behavior.
Enable only the feeds you want, change their speed and colors, inspect feed health, and drag them into your preferred order.
Add and organize personal website shortcuts so frequently visited destinations are available directly from the dashboard.
Show or hide built-in engines, reorder them, pin favorites, and add compatible custom search engines in Advanced Settings.
Use themes, accent colors, folder styles, ticker density, and related display controls to make the dashboard comfortable for you.
Most personal settings are stored locally in your browser. Clearing browser/site storage can remove those preferences, so export your settings first if you want a backup.
Export creates a settings backup file. Importing that file restores the saved TomWillHelp configuration in the browser where you import it.
If one area gets too customized, reset only Tickers, Engines, Shortcuts, or Appearance instead of clearing the entire dashboard.
